About this initiative

A shared standard.
An open conversation.

For students who deserve better tools and builders who want to make them.

What this charter is for.

Student First proposes five ethical standards for student software in India. It gives developers a clear guide for building software that respects student privacy, time and financial dignity.

Paid tools, online classes and cloud features can be helpful. They should come with upfront prices, clear choices and respect for student data.

Displaying the charter badge in a README shows a personal or team commitment. It is not an official government certification or an audited guarantee.

Your visit. Your choice.

The pledge saves one preference in your browser. Nothing is submitted. You can remove it using the same button. If storage is unavailable, it lasts for that visit only.

The share button opens your device’s share sheet or copies a message. Nothing is posted automatically. The hosting provider may keep ordinary request logs.
